LOCAL COMPANY WELCOMES YOUNG GIRLS TO A MALE DOMINATED INDUSTRY FOR TAKE OUR DAUGHTERS AND SONS TO WORK DAY

In the male dominated industry of collision repair and auto service, it is rare to see young girls take interest. A local company seeks to contest that today by welcoming children of all ages for Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day.

April 26, 2007 Nu-Look Collision Centers, located all over Monroe County, have opened their doors to all of their employees children today in honor of "Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day." Mike Bender, the general manager of Nu-Looks Henrietta location, and his wife Andrea Bender, a customer service representative at Nu-Look's Downtown location, have each taken one of their daughters to work with them today.

Destiny, 9 and Deanna, 6 will each spend half the day with one parent and then switch throughout the day. "We think its important that our daughters understand our jobs and what we do. Our jobs and responsibilities are different, even though we wo for the same company." - Mike Bender. By bringing the girls in at such a young age, the couple hopes to not only spark their interest in the industry, but also let them see that women are capable of entering any trade.
